Part-time Director of Music

 

 

St. John’s Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Webster South Dakota is a congregation of 800 members with a strong history of supporting the arts. We are looking to fill an opening for a part-time minister of music.

 

Position description: Part-time position, minimum half-time

 Base salary $15,000 with additional consideration for

qualifications and years of experience

 

Minimum education: Bachelor of Arts in Music

 

Qualifications: Knowledge of liturgy and hymnody in the Lutheran tradition

  Proficiency in piano and organ accompaniment

  Creative implementation of a variety of worship forms

  Good communication and organizational skills

  Ability to work with all age levels

  Proficiency in conducting and rehearsing choirs (vocal and bells)
